Spacing and alignment
Do
- Align left, no justification
- One-line space between paragraphs
- Bold for what matters, not long italics
- Times in tabular figures so columns line up
Don't
- Justify text: it creates rivers of white that tire the eye
- Paragraphs wider than 75 characters
- Text over photos without a layer that guarantees contrast
- Weight 300 or light gray to “look elegant”
