Clinic signage
Heliodore’s first screen is often a sign on a door. It must be readable from far away, without embarrassment and without exposing anyone.
Type the text, choose the background and the reading distance. The suggested letter size comes from a practical signage rule of thumb.

Information
Exit
- Content
- An icon from the set plus a word; never the icon alone. No ambiguous arrows: use “Exam room 1, to the right”.
- Typography
- Inter SemiBold, with an initial capital. No all caps.
- Colors
- Solar with Crystal (10.2:1), Night with Glow (13.6:1) or White with Ink (17:1). Never Solar with white.
- Height
- Center of the sign at 1.40 to 1.60 m from the floor, next to the door handle, on the opening side.
- Material
- Matte, no glare. A strong gloss cancels the contrast.
- Tactile
- For accessibility, relief and braille are added; they must be made with a specialized supplier. To be defined.
- Brand
- The logo only at reception and at the entrance, at a height where it does not compete with the information.
Waiting room and privacy
Do
- Call patients by number, initials or first name if the patient agreed
- Signs that say where to go, not who is who
- A “How the agenda works” sheet in 18 pt type or larger
- Pair QR codes with a text explanation
Don't
- Screens with full names and reasons for visits
- Printed patient lists taped to a door
- Alarming messages (“Do not enter without an appointment”)
- Signs in red, yellow or all caps only
